Are you a designer, illustrator, photographer or writer?

We’re launching our new competition ‘Inspired’ and we want you to be a part of it!

We believe that everyone has an idea for a greeting card and this is your chance to share that idea, get paid for it and have it published on an actual greeting card (with a little bit about you on the back of it!).

’Caring connections’ is the theme of the competition, so think about images and words that show support, bring joy or share kindness.

Everybody is welcome to enter and we can’t wait to see what you create… good luck!

The Brief

Create a greeting card that embraces Hallmark’s purpose of caring connections.

We are looking for images or words that
provide support, spread joy
or showcase acts of kindness.

This is your opportunity to craft something truly meaningful, and each winning entry will receive a £300 prize and be transformed into a greeting card!

Key Considerations

Emotion

Make your artwork or writing suitable for people of all ages who want to express their feelings to friends, family or loved ones. 

Occasion

Consider different sending occasions such as birthday, sympathy, get well soon, just because, friendship or encouragement. 

Judging Criteria

Originality

We are looking for innovative ideas that stand out and provide something new to the market.

Relevance & adherence to theme

Artwork & writing should evoke
feelings of warmth, empathy or understanding.

Artistry, composition & tone of voice

Craft, visual impact, language &
sentiment will all be considered.

How To Enter

Submissions
You can submit up to 16 unique pieces of artwork or writing using the link below, and our panel of judges will evaluate each submission individually.

The Winners
Winners will be contacted week commencing 22nd July, 2024

Entry Requirements

  • A maximum of 16 unique submissions
  • Complete a short ‘about me’ with your submission
  • Design/photographic entries to be attached as JPEG/PDF (use a compressed/zip folder for more than 10 files)
  • Written entries can be submitted by Word or text document
  • Winners must be able to provide high resolution TIF, AI files or original artwork
